About Rotary Club of Pune Central
About Us: The Rotary Club of Pune Central is a distinguished, service-driven organization dedicated to making a significant impact on society. Chartered in January 1984, we proudly belong to Rotary International, a global network of 1.4 million members committed to humanitarian service, ethical leadership, and global goodwill.
Our Mission: Our mission is to drive transformative change within our communities and beyond by championing education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and social welfare. Through our strategic initiatives, we aim to uplift lives and promote peace, goodwill, and mutual understanding.
Our Projects: The Rotary Club of Pune Central is actively involved in a diverse array of impactful service projects, including:
Leadership and Strategic Direction
It is my honor and proud privilege to be entrusted with the responsibilities of President of
RCPC.
Our theme for this year, Create Lasting Impact, inspires us to work together as people of action
to make a meaningful and sustainable difference in our communities and beyond. It builds on
last year’s theme, Unite for Good, by transforming our strong connections into impactful
action.
As Rotarians, we have always been committed to service above self. This year, let us focus not
only on what we do, but also on how deeply and enduringly our efforts affect lives. Let us focus
on creating change that truly endures-globally, locally, and personally. Whether it is through
community service projects, partnerships, or individual initiatives, every action we take should
contribute to a future that is stronger and more resilient. We have the opportunity to leave a
positive and lasting mark on society.
I encourage all members to share stories and experiences that highlight the impact of our
work. By doing so, we not only celebrate our efforts but also inspire others to join us in service.
Together, let us lead with purpose and create a legacy of lasting impact
Leadership and Strategic Direction
Rotary has changed my life, and I’m willing to bet that it has changed yours too. It expands our
world, enriches our understanding of service, creates international friendships, and grounds
us. It teaches us to see, to look beyond ourselves.
Think about our Vision Statement: Together, we see a world where people unite and take
action to create lasting change-across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Those final words of our Vision Statement are at the heart of what it means to Create Lasting
Impact. We often share how Rotary inspires lasting change in others, but we rarely discuss how
it transforms us. We must consider how Rotary has changed our lives and share our stories
widely. If we can do that, we will engage current members, expand our reach, and forge
exciting connections with like-minded partners.
We must embrace Rotary’s global diversity and build a welcoming culture, one where fresh
perspectives are embraced, new ideas are celebrated, and differences are met with curiosity
and kindness instead of judgement. If we can do that, we will meet our membership goals and
continue to grow.
And finally, we must reaffirm our commitment to service. We must think bigger, understanding
our struggles as interconnected and leveraging our connections to make global progress. If we
can do that, we will be one step closer to a world free of polio, a world where everyone has
access to clean water and a quality education – world at peace.
Let us continue to inspire one another and seek innovative solutions to some of the world’s
most pressing challenges. I look forward to working alongside you in service.
Leadership and Strategic Direction
As we welcome Rotary Year 2026-27, Dr. Neelam and I extend our warm greetings and best
wishes to you and your families.
Guided by Rotary International’s theme, “Create Lasting Impact,” let us focus on service that
truly transforms lives. Behind every Rotary project is a story a child receiving clean water, an
elderly person regaining sight through cataract surgery, a young person gaining skills and
confidence, or a family becoming self-reliant through livelihood support. These are not just
projects; they are life-changing moments. This is the true impact of Rotary.
District 3131 has always been known for its energy, leadership, and service. This year, let us
strive for Maximum Projects, Maximum Beneficiaries, and Maximum Impact.
To achieve this, we must strengthen the backbone of Rotary, The Rotary Foundation and
Membership. We encourage every Rotarian to lead by example through Foundation giving,
inviting new members, and actively involving Rotaractors and young leaders who will carry
Rotary’s mission into the future.
We also invite every club to participate wholeheartedly in our district initiatives such as Project
Sanjeevani, Traffic 360, and Fusion Meetings, where together we can create larger and more meaningful impact.
A special congratulations to all our Club Presidents, our partner in leadership. Over the years, we have dreamt of bigger projects and stronger clubs. Now is the time to turn those dreams into reality. We request every Rotarian to support your President and Board, participate actively, and work together as one team. When a President succeeds, the club succeeds. When clubs succeed, District 3131 succeeds.
Let us enjoy this Rotary year with our families and friends, strengthen fellowship, serve with
passion, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
“Let us not be remembered for the number of projects we did, but for the number of lives we
changed. Let our work speak so powerfully that communities don’t just see Rotary they feel its
impact.”
Wishing you a successful, joyful, and impactful Rotary Year 2026-27.
